Alocasia Melo (Grower's Choice)
  • Alocasia Melo (Grower's Choice)

The Alocasia Melo, also known as an Alocasia Rugosa, is a new rare plant native to Borneo with thick leathery and corrugated leaves.

It has a striking and prominent texture similar to the Cantaloupe Melon, hence the name Melo. It's one of the Alocasias with the thickes, most corrugated foliage we have seen.

You will receive a plant very similar to the one shown.

    How To Grow:

Alocasia 'Melo' prefers medium indirect light. Do not put in direct sun, or it will scorch the leaves. Provide it to a chunky and airy potting mix; coco coir, perlite, orchid bark. Alocasias like moist soil, but not wet. Give it humid temperatures (60%-80%) and do not expose it to extreme cold, or it may go dormant. To keep Alocasias pest-free, keep them healthy by watering on schedule when the potting medium dries out, keeping a humid environment, and fertilizing when needed (ideally summer through fall.)
