Alocasia longiloba 'Watsoniana' (Grower’s Choice)
Alocasia Watsoniana is truly stunning! It's a new rare on the US market previously available only in private collections or botanical gardens.It originates from tropical climates in Asia like many Alocasias.The leaves are deep and rich green and the focal point is the white veining and sinus shape that eventually slits.
You will receive the plant shown or a very similar one.
To Grow: Alocasia Cuprea likes medium indirect light. Do not put in direct sun, or it will scorch the leaves. You have to be careful with light exposure on the leaves. The stunning leaves on the Alocasia Cuprea are prone to yellow from sitting in direct sun so be careful to avoid leaf bleaching or damage.
Alocasia Watsoniana like a chunky and airy potting mix; coco coir, perlite, orchid bark. Check out our plant accessories for the ideal potting medium. Give it humid temperatures (60%-80%) and do not expose it to extreme cold, or it may go dormant. They like their soil to be moist, but not wet or you will cause root rot.
To keep Alocasias pest-free, keep them healthy by watering on schedule when the potting medium dries out, keeping a humid environment, and fertilizing when needed (ideally summer through fall.

Heat packs should be purchased if you are experiencing cold or freezing temperatures. Please ensure that you will be available to receive your plant if you are experiencing cold temperatures. Heat packs only protect your plant in transit, not for extended periods.
