Hoya carnosa ‘Krimson Queen’ (Grower's Choice)

Hoya Carnosa Krimson Queen Variegata is a variegated hoya with cream-splashed leaves and reddish-purple stems. With the right lighting, the newer leaves can be sun-stressed and turn pink. Not every plant that ships will have pinkish tones, as this is based on the growing environment and maturity of the leaves. You can bring out the pinkish tones by exposing them to higher light conditions and humidity. 
 
The Krimson Queen has variegation around the leaf's margin and wears her variegation like a crown, while the Princess has inner variegation. They look very similar. 
 
Hoya Carnosa Krimson Queen is easy-care and can be grown in low, medium, or bright light. It tolerates low and medium light, but will not thrive or bloom in these conditions. The plant needs to be mature to bloom and needs bright light. Water hoya when the potting medium dries. It has thick waxy leaves and stems that help the plant store water. Be careful not to overwater it; hoya would rather be too dry than too wet and can suffer from root rot. Hoyas aren't big feeders, but you can fertilize your hoya during the growing season with any general-purpose houseplant fertilizer and follow the directions on the packaging.
