Hoya 'Michele' MB1255
Hoya 'Michele' MB1255 is new to our shop, and we are obsessed with the bold and round foliage! It's a very rare hybrid of Hoya verticillata Laos x Hoya acuta albomarginata.
It has been documented that it was hybridized by by Mark Bernardo and named after Michele Rodda, a published Italian botanist. Many call this plant Hoya Michelle as, but some say it should be pronounced “mi-KELL”. We are indifferent to what you call it or how you pronounce it, as long as you give it the care and love it deserves.
As the plant matures, it produces clusters of beautiful flowers that are pinkish/beige. It has one of the most memorable fragrances in the Hoya family! Flowering could take months, a year, or several years depending on the environment. The blooms are known for having a unique and exciting scent.
