Philodendron 'Jungle Fever' Variegatum (Grower's Choice)
  • Philodendron 'Jungle Fever' Variegatum (Grower's Choice)

Philodendron 'Jungle Fever' is a NEW shop favorite in high demand yet challenging to find for many collectors.

It has stunning variegation ranges in color from cream to chartreuse and sectoral variegation of of several shades of green and/ or yellow. Its variegation on each leaf is a work of art, no two are alike!

It has been described as a hybrid between is a hybrid of P. pinnatifidum and P. gigantum (scientific confirmation pending.).

Philodendron 'Jungle Fever' is another easy-care Philodendron. It requires bright indirect light. Exposure to bright light helps bring out the variegation (although remember that variegation is in the plant's genetics.)

Philodendron 'Jungle Fever' will thrive in high humidity but can adapt to average household humidity  (60%), although it will be slower to grow.

Water when the substrate is dry at least a couple of inches. Make sure to let the water drain completely and do not overwater or leave in the soggy substrate. You can let it dry out between waterings ultimately if you tend to overwater.

Philodendron 'Jungle Fever' thrives in an airy mix (because it's an epiphyte) of coconut coir, perlite, bark, horticultural charcoal, and rice hulls (if you have some). You can either make your own or check out our soilless potting medium ideal for aroids.

Fertilize throughout spring and summer with a general-purpose houseplant fertilizer or slow release. You can fertilize into fall and winter if you have greenhouse conditions, but I recommend you still cut back on the amount (less is more). Follow the directions on the fertilizer packaging to know how much fertilizer to use and how often to apply it.

Plant ships in a nursery pot; decorative pot is not included.

USPS and UPS are our preferred carriers.

Heat packs and complete winter protection are available for purchase. They can be added to the order (filter by 'winter protection.") Heat packs should be purchased if you are experiencing cold or freezing temperatures. Please ensure that you will be available to receive your plant if you are experiencing cold temperatures. Heat packs only protect your plant in transit, not for extended periods.
