STARTING A RARE PLANT COLLECTION

To start a rare plant collection, we recommend you start small, don't purchase multiple rare plants at once. Begin with an affordable plant, preferably in the Philodendron family such as Philodendron gloriosum or Philodendron 'Florida Ghost."

Keep in mind your light conditions as well as the average temperature in your home.  Do your research to understand the plant's light and water requirements.

Check the product page for additional plant care tips.

TO REPOT OR NOT, THAT IS THE QUESTION

It's tempting to want to repot a new plant upon receipt...DON'T. Your plant has been on a long journey from our jungle to your home. Your plant while in transit hasn't been receiving any light and has been exposed to fluctuations in temperature. Just like you need to stretch and acclimate after a long flight so does your new plant baby. It's best to wait a few weeks at least to repot. Many plants can live comfortably and happy in their nursery pot for several years.
